First Post
For those that don't know me, my name is Aimee. I'm a widow, momma to 6, and doggo momma to Atlas, my Siberian Husky.
You can read more about each individual in our family here.
I lost my first husband, Dustin on March 23, 2013, after a 5 month battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme. His soul is still very strong in the universe and we feel his presence every now and then. He has been watching over us, and sending messages when we need them most.
Like when my ex husband (second marriage) was watching my dog for me while my children and fiance, Eric, moved to Florida from Alaska. Just after getting moved into our home, he told me I needed to get back to Alaska or I'd lose my boy forever. When we arrived back, January 30th, 2021, I discovered a woman that the ex had put in charge of caring for Atlas, was trying to keep him. After police involvement, we were told we would have to take her to court, as she had claimed ownership.
Each day that passes without him, has been detrimental to my mental health, as well as Eric's. I never had anxiety before, until now. I've never felt this dark and hopeless. I keep replaying the night I tried getting Atlas, over and over. I read through all of my proof, of her text messages to my ex asking him to block me...or to tell me he just doesn't have him (Atlas) anymore. I can barely sleep. I can't focus on much of anything else. The worst part is knowing exactly where Atlas is, and not being able to do anything about it. I've daydreamed of showing up and rescuing him from his captors. But that is just a fantasy.
I'm going to try to update this as much time and mine and Eric's mental health allows.
XOXO {Aimee} 😘
Here are a few pics of my floofy boy 🥺💔
