Sad update
On June 9th, we lost Ivar. He somehow escaped and got into some brackish water. By time he was found, he was taking his last breath. He passed in our hands, and it was one of the most heartbreaking sights.
We almost lost Torvi. I don't know what happened, but she showed signs of a respiratory infection. There were no vets in the area that could take her, and driving ALL the way to Jacksonville (roughly 45 minutes) was too far at the time. There is no way she would have made it. So we ran over to the tractor supply store and got some injectable antibiotics. After praying, with a faithful heart, I used the syringe and withdrew the smallest amount (we calculated what she would need), and injected it into her front right arm. It was scary, but it was a risk worth taking. If I hadn't at least tried, she wouldn't be here. I'm so grateful for this blessing, because Alysah would have been devastated. She is still getting better each day. The first image below is about an hour or so after I administered her antibiotic.
Aside from those two hardships, we are LOVING camping life! It has been over 2 months since we started this journey, and we are so glad we did! I feel more grounded being out here in nature 24/7. It's truly therapeutic for the soul. I could camp for soo much longer, but a house in the area fell into our lap. Eric talked to the owner, and he said it should be ready in a week or two. I wasn't really planning on settling down in Florida, our plan was to travel around first and then settle down, but I can't refuse a blessing. Brennan REALLY loves Florida and wants to stay here, so that is a definite factor into jumping on this opportunity. Especially with how the housing market is right now. It is nearly impossible to find something that isn't already spoken for.
Lots of love to everyone! ♥️
Have a blessed day!
XOXO {Aimee} 😘
