Our List So Far....
Ok...so last time we went camping, it was a spur of the moment decision. I like to live life like it's my last day on this beautiful earth, so after a week or so in a hotel and our housing search at the time coming up short, we decided to go camping while we searched. This time, we are going with the intent of camping, and with a little more experience under our belt (it was the FIRST time I had ever been camping!), we have come up with a list of supplies to be better prepared. We are hoping to be able to go for a month to two months, depending on campsite availability. We are planning on getting everything at Academy Sports in Florida once we arrive. If you see something we left out, please let us know! So here is our list so far, that we will check off as we go, so that ya'll can be included in our progress. :)
- 3-person tent for me and Eric
- 10-person tent for the kiddos
- 8 camping chairs
- metal detector (Eric has been wanting one forever)
- hatchet (gotta get that phat lighter)
- Shovel (to dig out trenches when the campsite floods)
- 8 waterproof camping pillows
- 8 sleeping bags
- 6 cots
- large cooler (although we probably need 6 for this family 😂)
- 2 two person hammocks
- flashlight
- tiki torches and fuel
- crocs (my most hated shoe, but they serve a purpose)
We are counting down the days until we can go! We are beyond excited to have some time to connect with nature, and enjoy some beach time too! I need this distraction and healing before we have our court date! Love you all, so so much!
